Hello Garrett... There are several good sites detailing the carb mods. First though, get the shop manual. It is very helpful and quite neccessary for the rookie mechanic. Take a look at http://www.islandnet.com/~brclarke/ls650.htm for a few hints. Our Savage has finally been broken in enough that I did the valves today and decided to go ahead with the Supertrapp and the carb mods. Heather's bike now has all 8 disks the Supertrapp. It has a 150 main jet instead of the 145 stock jet and the pilot circuit has been reset. The white spacer used to lean out the needle is now in the garbage. In addition, we added two 7/8" holes to the air box cover to allow a bit more air in to offset the new main jet. The little Savage really wakes up! I beleave Jason ?? 's web site and dyno runs are right on. It was about 28 hp, now it is about 34 36 hp. I will try to get it down to the dyno next week and verify.
Tom
